Cong tries to haul Naveen over the coals
Bhubaneswar: The Congress onslaught continues to sully the image of Teflon Naveen Patnaik. The latest salvo has been fired by V. Narayansamy, Minister of State in the PMO, to tar Naveen with the brush of corruption. Will the vigorous attempts unleashed by the Congress yield the desired results? This time, the threat seems credible as Narayansamy shunned ambivalence and categorically asserted that the CBI would look into the coal block recommendation made by Naveen Patnaik for Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL). Narayansamy also reiterated the oft-repeated Congress charge that the Centre wanted to allocate coal blocks through the auction process and states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand etc opposed it.
